Behinder and behinder......

I keep getting more and more behind schedule, rather than catching up on all of these tasks that need to get done.

Today, though not at all her fault, my little girl was feeling under the weather. So she stayed home from school. I feel bad for her, she is ill and there is not a lot I can do for her. I have fixed favorite foods that don't hurt the sore throat, soothing smoothies, comfy places to sit etc. All the while I keep thinking about how I really need to get two quilts delivered, three tops made, patterns shipped to the distributor, numerous emails to send, and several quilts bound. None of it is getting completed.

There is always tomorrow, but then I think she will need a doctor tomorrow--the list is bound to grow longer.......Sigh. I wish Mommy love and kisses could make it all better for her-and little girl hugs could magically make me get caught up.

I promise there will be some quilt related info posted in the next few days again. Until then....Happy quilting!

Been a while.....

There is so much to talk about!


It's been a while since my last post. Sorry about that. I wish I could get myself organized enough to write posts more regularly. Oh well, it is tax time after all.
Speaking of taxes, I have mine all done now. That is a relief!

Saturday was National Quilt Day. I hope you all enjoyed doing something quilty on Saturday. I did! My local guild has a celebration at a local Senior Citizen center and we had some great demo's. One on a dimensional bow tie block, which is cute. This link is for the Babylock site version of it- which is the same as the one I saw demoed. Only you don't really need a serger to do it! We also saw a demo on a giant Apple Core quilt done with machine sewing, and applique glue instead of pinning. Another future demo ....

I am going to be teaching a class this week on my pattern Delectable Cakes- it is going to be very fun! I am going to bring Cupcakes for the class of 12, and alternate setting options, as well as an instruction sheet on how to make the Delectable Cake block with Charms instead- sort of a mini version! That may just become a new pattern----we will have to see how the class likes it! Maybe I will let them vote.

Aside from all of this....I am keeping busy with new spring line out now. You can see it here on my website!
I am working on a couple more late spring releases- just for fun!
Also, Nancy's Notions is going to be kitting Posie Pots for their Summer catalog edition. They are also carrying my Pretty Maids in a Row pattern.



Lastly, I am designing a basket block that will be featured in a free Block of the Month in Cotton Spice magazine online. I'll be sure and let you know when it begins- it will be soon! The magazine is free and download-able! Be sure to check out the magazine, it really is terrific.
