Spring Activities Giveaway-sign ups closed

Giveaway winner announced!

The lucky winner of this weeks giveaway is.........

Pokey!
email me with your mailing address Pokey
Spring activities
are beginning again around here. My kids are in softball and had the first practice Saturday. It finished right before the rain and snow came. We got about 5" of snow on Saturday and few more Sunday morning. The snow has all melted off now-- that is another thing I love about spring here. When it snows, the snow does not stay long after-and sometimes if you wait a few hours you don't have to shovel it because it is all gone!.

It is sunny again and the birds are chirping. I want these skates back! They are just like the ones I wore when I was 11!

Other things we do in the spring....
Fly kites
Make cookies for the Easter Bunny
start BBQing again Yum!
Play softball
ride bikes
rollerskating may be big here this spring because my oldest wants the "old fashioned kind of skate" like her mom and aunt Kelley had. I will of course need some too--skating is fun and great exercise!
Gardening-we love to plant, but hate weeds!
Sew like crazy
I like to go "junking" at thrift shops and yard sales
smell the blossoms and pick the flowers
take long walks and long drives

And I personally, spend all spring getting ready for Market-the kids help with that too!

Here is what you can win......
1 Layer Cake of Fig Tree Quilts' Fresh Cottons
line

(simply gorgeous fabric)
AND
2 of my patterns (because I couldn't decide which one, and they both work great with a layer cake or charm squares)
AND
a surprise goody that will be wonderful too!

Tell me what your FAVORITE spring activity is---and you will be entered in the drawing once.
Sign up to be a follower on my blog and you get 2 extra entries!

Blog and link to my giveaway and you get 2 more entries!
That means you can potentially be entered 5 times to win!

You must tell me in your comment if you are blogging OR Tweeting and linking to my giveaway and if you are added on as a follower now.
If you are already one of my followers-just mention that in your comment and you will get 2 more entries.

Drawing ends Friday March 19Th at 9PM MST
Winners are chosen at random on Saturday or Sunday depending on my Spring
activities!

***Please Note***
If you do not make sure your blogger id has your email available--you must provide me with your email in your comment. Otherwise I cannot get a hold of you if you win---and that would be sad!
Can't wait to read your comments!

Hello there, I used to love roller skating too, but I have bad knees now and can't. I love to garden, but the best thing in ealry spring is sitting on the porch early in the morning listening to the birds and world waking up. It just makes me so happy!

I used to spend all day long on my roller skates as a kid! BUT my skates fit on my shoes, and looked like these:

One of my favorite spring activities is to watch the animals (deer, blue birds, robins) and check if seeds planted have germinated.

I love spring. My favorite thing to do in the spring is get my front porch all cleaned up, spruced up with clean, fresh cushions on the rocking chairs and swing and wicker sofa, sparkling front door glass decorated with a floral wreath and fresh geraniums, petunias and ferns in all my hanging baskets. This year I'm adding an antique fountain, a big one, so I will have the soothing sound of big drops of water plopping down into the bigger pool below. I can sit outside until well into October usually and sew and knit and just enjoy being outdoors! I do subscribe to your blog via google and get all the updates right on my front page. Gives me so much inspiration!

Not really a specific activity, but one of my favorite things about Spring is that I get to open the windows! I live in Texas, so most of the year you want to keep the windows closed to escape from the icky weather.
Spring breezes coming through open windows make me want to do something, work on a quilt, clean the living room, even load the dishwasher... it's hard to veg out on the couch :)

Baskets Of Quilts said...

My favorite spring activity is grilling! I can't wait for some really good burgers and grilled veggies! Then I love to eat outside on the deck and feeling the warm sunshine. Sounds like a perfect day!

Guilitta said...

Hello,

In the spring I love to clean my house, open the window and sing songs. In spring with the sun i am in a good mood.
-------------------------------
I blog no give-aways due to the following: I think it's got some kind of more visitors and thus are better there. But I myself would like people to my blog which is for the things I do interesting. So more quality than quantity.

Ebenaso I am not a follower, because I want to be free to visit his blogs that I like. So I'm often here. But I would like to visit because I like it and not because I have verflichtet me. I see it as a kind of contest to see who has the most successor. What good is it if they register for the give-away, and then log off again afterwards?

What I do not want to, I also add to any other. I'd rather have just one chance, that's o.k. for me.

Those who blog and make it a condition follower and this will be rewarded, so to speak, to do that, but I would not support it. I do a blog on which people voluntarily and willingly rather come. So I do raffles where everyone has the same opportunities.Sorry, so is my meaning.

Sorry for my bad english and please excuse the mistakes.

Greeting Guilitta from Germany

When I was young, I used to love to fly kites. I haven't done that in a bit with the kids lately either. I guess I just gave myself a reality check :)

Hi, Kari! I just posted your awesoem Givaway on my blog- http://auntpollysporch.blogspot.com/2010/03/cool-givaway.html come over and check it out! I am also a follower of your blog, now, too! My favorite spring thing to do is save up all my clipped threads and threads that ravel off fabric and when I have a big wad, I go out on my deck and lay it out and the birds will come and use it for making their nests. I guess I'm a bit strange, but my favorite spring activity is weeding! I like to get out and pull all the weeds out of my garden before I even think about planting. Just makes it all look nice and neat and ready for flowers and vegetables! Love your blog and the inspiration and am signing up to be a follower!

Thank you for the chance to win!

My favourite spring activity is not spring cleaning or gardening, so I guess it would be admiring the beautiful gardens other people have. All the flowers and none of the upkeep - how can you go wrong?

Hi!
My favorite spring activity is to take the dog for a walk in the woods, it's so much snow here in Norway that it's impossible to do that in the winter! I also enjoy sitting in a sunny spot outside our house with some tea and a stitchery.
I signed up to be a follower a moment ago:-) Your blog looks great! Beautiful quilts.
Hugs from Synnoeve.

I love spring when the snow is all melted, and the street sweepers have been around. Everything is all clean and fresh (and the driving is easier)!
