MINNEAPOLIS!!!!
I love it here!
Minneapolis is just gorgeous and I love this city. I love the combination of huge skyscrapers and old cathedrals. The architecture here is so inspiring. This is the Government building-- it is so lovely in person, and is really magnificent.
I am so jealous that you are at market! It just isn't fair...but it is sweet of you to offer up such fabulous prizes for Dana to give away on her blog!
Your post about Mt. St. Helens was interesting and HOLY COW! I remember it too!! It is freaky to remember something clearly and then think .... that was thirty years ago!
It's nice that you remembered those who lost their lives. I guess I had forgotten that part.
What a cute stocking pattern. The triangle pattern is darling as well. So I am making a comment in case you draw a name. Have so much fun at market. xoxo ~a
I just popped over from Dana's blog saying hi. I am new to quilting and have just loved looking at any blog that has some quilt related on it. Thanks for the chance of a giveaway.
I've been following your blog and wish I could go to Quilt Market, but heck I don't qualify for it, so there! Dana said we should come over and leave a comment. Thanks for offering such nice goodies for her to give away. And I don't think you stink nearly as much as she says you do.
Dana, over at Old Red Barn, said we should come and harass...err congratulate you for getting to go to Quilt Market. Thanks, but next time, take her with you Okay?
Hi Kari, I am not allowed out of Texas to go to market....aagghhhh! My husband is still fuming about the Janome 6600 I HAD to have after Dana's quiltalong...can you only IMAGINE what I would have to have at market....ahhhh, for my shop, yeah! Anyhoo, I wish I were there, but, you know. Thanks for going for everyone else! (I am from Washington state and my baby was 1 1/2 years old. We lived in Spokane, never saw the mountain blow, but had to use snow plows to get the ash out of the streets! Not something you ever forget. Thank you for reminding us, or me, of the lives lost, we should never forget that.) Have a great time, but not that great, lol! Elaine
LOVE the stocking BOM pattern - just so dang cute. I can't believe I have Christmas on my mind already. But hey, if I start early I might actually make something for other people, rather than keeping them all for myself. How many Christmas quilts does one family need, seriously? Well, okay, just this one more.
Great pictures, thanks for sharing! Thanks for being so generous with the giveaway on Dana's blog! Can't wait to hear what you picked up for her in the freebie dash, that way I can live vicariously through her excitement!
Dana sent all of us who weren't able to go to quilt market here to see your pictures. Lucky you. I was working and didn't even get a chance to go to the supermarket, much less quilt market!
thank you for the sweet giveaway over at the old red barn co. It's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS! Have fun at market.... make it a magical time! Janita
