Update on my "Followers" button

So ages ago I turned off my button for "followers" because there were none- and that just looked pathetic! I forgot I did that- because it was quite some time ago, until everyone was mentioning it in their posts for the giveaway! OOPS!

It's back up there now and there (happily!) are way more than zero followers now.

So all of you lovelies who are Following me, or wish to I am sorry and thank you for your patience with my forgetful ways!

Spring activities

are beginning again around here. My kids are in softball and had the first practice Saturday. It finished right before the rain and snow came. We got about 5" of snow on Saturday and few more Sunday morning. The snow has all melted off now-- that is another thing I love about spring here. When it snows, the snow does not stay long after-and sometimes if you wait a few hours you don't have to shovel it because it is all gone!.

It is sunny again and the birds are chirping. I want these skates back! They are just like the ones I wore when I was 11!

Other things we do in the spring....

Fly kites

Make cookies for the Easter Bunny

start BBQing again Yum!

Play softball

ride bikes

rollerskating may be big here this spring because my oldest wants the "old fashioned kind of skate" like her mom and aunt Kelley had. I will of course need some too--skating is fun and great exercise!

Gardening-we love to plant, but hate weeds!

Sew like crazy

I like to go "junking" at thrift shops and yard sales

smell the blossoms and pick the flowers

take long walks and long drives

And I personally, spend all spring getting ready for Market-the kids help with that too!

So last week I promised to do a giveaway.... Well

time has a tendency to get away from me.

In honor of our beautiful Rocky Mountains here in Utah coming alive with spring again, I am going to host a giveaway.

Crocus in bloom, tulips popping up through the soil, snow capped mountains and no snow on the ground, the grass is getting greener, my flowering almonds are budding, and the cats cannot stand to be inside any longer!

Eva's Sunday Best Schnibble

This is my Schnibble quilt for February. I made it from a Layer Cake I had of Eva fabrics. I love the colors in this line and I used bigger squares and made my quilt 62" square rather than the small version. I also set the blocks a little differently than the instructions on the pattern indicate. The border is just extra strips leftover. I used almost every piece of every Layer Cake square. That always feels like a treat not to have any leftover fabrics.

So my Sunday Best was finished on Sunday!
