This great shop loves my Block of the month pattern!
I am so tickled that they posted about my pattern.

Off to do more work-- it's never ending right now, so that's why I am not posting much.  Soon you will know why, and part of it has to do with Moda Bake Shop, can't wait to show ya!

Goin' Hoppin'

I'm goin' shop hoppin' tomorrow, Thursday, maybe Friday and Saturday too.  It all depends on how long it takes us at each shop.  The "us" is my daughters cutiepie and honeybunch and myself.  Even though they are young, they love the hop and the shop already.  Daddy needs to get a bigger fatter wallet before the teen years hit!

Tomorrow the Wasatch Front Shop Hop begins and it is fabulous. The theme is Celebrations, with great prizes, loads of sales, wonderful shops and they mostly all make it a party.  Like my friend Nadine.  She owns The Material Girls and she rocks Shop Hop.  I already know I gotta go there early and then maybe go back, just cause it's a party there.  I worked there before-- it's all fuzzy when it was, but I was just beginning my pattern design biz and she has been a wonderful supporter of me.

There are 15 shops in all, and I cannot think of one on the list that I don't thoroughly enjoy visiting at least once a year.  We won't be heading to Village Dry Goods (even though their theme is Junior Prom- too cute) because it is nearly 2 hours away in Brigham City and we were just there last weekend visiting family.    The Corn Wagon (family reunion) is a most wonderful little shop that is 3 stories, many rooms and packed with wooly goodness and fab fabrics.  The girls Vetoed it--they didn't want to get lost again even though I am sure the detour is not there anymore.  Oh well, last year we missed Sew Sweet in Tooele (MayDay is their celebration) and we are going to that one this year.

So if you are in the neighborhood of Northern Utah, check it out-- we will all be hoppin and a shoppin'!

Have you seen this? and a Giveaway!

Have you been here to the Fat Quarterly E-zine?  It is great, with loads of fabulous information, a quarterly magazine published by pdf-- very GREEN, and tutorials on things like machine quilting, hand quilting and so much more.  Plus, John aka QuiltDad is one of the great people (there are a few other cool peeps who started it  too- but I only know John!) who began this E-zine and I am still wondering how he has time to be a great Dad, a quilter, have a career beyond quilting, and support a blossoming career in the quilt industry as well-- oh and he is a husband to a pretty great gal too and she quilts too.  Whew! Amazing!

So go check out the Fat Quarterly website, come back here and leave a comment here about your favorite thing on their site/blog. and you will be entered in my giveaway!  Oh and don't forget to enter the giveaway on the Fat Quarterly blog too!

What do you win you ask????  a free copy of their first issue of Fat Quarterly (it already came out but you will want the first copy-it's an $8.00 value) and a copy of TidBits from Triangles ($18.00 value-- just because I want to give away another one!  Go ahead and tell your friends about my giveaway and you will get another shot at winning, just be sure to post about it on your blog and let me know in your comment!

You have until 9 PM MST on  Fabulous Friday June 11th to enter my giveaway.

And for heavens sake, please include an email addy for me.  Because if you win-- I need to let you know!

Material Obsession....

I am not referring to the book Material Obsession, though it is a darling book with many great ideas.
I should buy it.  Oh wait, I wasn't talking about that.

This girls material obsession is verging on being a true illness.

I went to market, I bought and was given a lot of goodies, fabric and otherwise.

I have given away some of the fabric and goodies-- the ones I could stand to part with.
On Saturday, 4 days after returning from my shopping madness at market in Minneapolis, the following culprits were assembled and purchased by me.  I think I might really be in trouble.

Eden kit 50% off- 3 Eden FQ's $1 each, 4 yards of Lila Tueller fabric one of which is Eden the other just looks great with Eden.  I have some of this already-- but I  wanted more.  No such thing as need here, I wanted it.  Sick I know-- but if you are reading this and laughing you are probably sick with the same illness as I am! Blush was 30% off at The Material Girls, I had resisted until now the beauty of Blush, but at 30% off I could no longer resist.  One Layer Cake, and 4 yards of gorgeousness now in my possession.
Lastly, 2 Charm Packs (not on sale- drat it's harder to justify that way) and 4 yards of American Jane from Happy Campers at $4 a yard.  An it looks cute with Tweet Tweet.  I might have to have the Jelly Roll in Tweet  Tweet now too.  Then I can justify it somehow.

Are you sick too?  Tell me you are just so I know I am not alone.  The thing is, I don't want a 12 step program to cure me-- I don't wish to be cured, I'm in too deep. Sigh.

Lookie here!

Okay so I got to meet some fabulous people at Market.  Rochelle from Dillinger Fabrics is one of them.  Dillinger, as in John Dillinger-- pretty cool name-- I asked to be sure that is where the name came from.
She sells a lot of Amy Butler, Alexander Henry and Michael Miller fabric, plus a whole lot more cute fabrics.  She is a pretty cool gal, and her blog is cute too.  So are her kids.
I just looked at her home page and what do i see???  My Block of the Month pattern!

So if you need an online version of my Block of the Month, Dillingers if the place to go.  They are pretty excited about it and so am I, it's their first BOM- and they chose me!  Pretty cool all in all.
