This is my current favorite painting.
I would like to introduce you all to my uncle Ian Ramsay who is a world renowned watercolor artist.
Ian was an architect by trade, and in 1979 began his true desire to paint watercolors for a living. His popularity has grown throughout the years, and he continues to gain acclaim for his work. His beautiful work is inspiring, and he is so talented that I am often in awe of him. His work has been featured in galleries around the US but also in Japan and England. He also participates in Art and Soup here in Salt Lake City every spring which is an event that helps support Community Nursing Services. This service provides charitable nursing and hospice care to people who are housebound. If you have a chance to attend Art and Soup, it is a wonderful event with many talented artists. This years event will be on March 23rd and 24th at the Sheraton hotel downtown.
This is another of his paintings, another favorite of mine right now. I wish you could see the wonderful detail in person, it is magnificent.
I helped him set up his blog last week. This is his first time having a blog or really having a website at all, so it's a big deal for him. So if you would check out his blog for me I would appreciate it, and I know he would too.
Ian sells his paintings directly as well as through galleries, and if you are interested you can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org
